AIR for Wi-Fi Modules and Development Kit

Anaren updates the Atmosphere IoT development platform to version 2.0, which features access to the Atmosphere Cloud hosting client and expansion for Wi-Fi project selection, among several additional features and updates

Wi-Fi applications can now be developed and tested in Anaren Atmosphere with the Anaren Wi-Fi Cloud IoT development kit. This development kit features an innovative stacked design featuring two separate boards: the A43364 development board that embeds the Anaren AIR for Wi-Fi A43364 module, and the multi-sensor shield that includes a variety of sensors used to test various peripherals. The A43364 is a high-performance, low-power Wi-Fi module based on the Cypress CYW43364 chipset. It is IEEE 802.11b/g/n compliant and meets worldwide regulatory and certification requirements.

Both boards feature an Arduino-compatible footprint, offering the ability to use either board individually with an Arduino board for complete cross-platform compatibility.

Offering the ideal Wi-Fi development solution, the kit is used with Anaren Atmosphere, Anaren’s innovative cloud-based development environment and Atmosphere Cloud hosting client. Using these tools together, the Wi-Fi Cloud IoT development kit provides a complete rapid prototyping IoT toolkit for faster development and quicker time to deployment.

Kit Contents:

  • A43364 development board: embeds an AIR for Wi-Fi A43364 Wi-Fi module
  • The A43364 module features a Cypress CYW43364 system on chip and is the first module of its kind to incorporate the STMicroelectronics STM32F412 ARM® Cortex®-M4-based microcontroller with 1 MB Flash memory and 256 KB SRAM
  • Multi-sensor shield: includes several sensors for fast and easy interaction, featuring an accelerometer, digital compass, joystick, infrared temperature sensor, tri-color LED, and buzzer
  • USB 2.0 cable (type A to micro B)
  • External power adapter
  • Quick start guide

Development Board Features:

  • Embeds an AIR A43364 Wi-Fi module
  • Support for various peripheral interfaces, including UART, SPI, I2S, I2C, USB, CAN, JTAG, GPIO, and ADC
  • Arduino-compatible footprint allows the board to act as a Wi-Fi shield while it is plugged into an Arduino
  • The numerous jumpers can be connected directly to the same Arduino pins for cross-platform functionality

Multi-Sensor Shield Features:

  • Includes several sensors for fast and easy interaction, featuring an accelerometer, digital compass, joystick, infrared temperature sensor, tri-color LED, and buzzer
  • Contains a GPIO expander
  • Arduino-compatible footprint, so the shield can be plugged into other Arduino boards

A43364A and A43364C Modules:

The A43364 series are high-performance, low-power Wi-Fi modules that provide Wi-Fi connectivity to embedded systems. The first of its kind to feature the STM32F412 ARM Cortex-M4-based microcontroller with 1 MB Flash memory and 256 KB SRAM, these modules are ideal for device manufacturers looking to add Wi-Fi connectivity for their products. Enabling IoT connectivity to a wide range of device applications, such as smart appliances, home automation, health and wellness, and much more, is easier than ever with the Anaren A43364 module.
